This song came to me in at the height of a long depression/writer's block.
It's been a very stressful year, and writing something like this, which is connected to a whole world of power, magic and hope, created by Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett, who we lost not so long ago, was truly refreshing. I hope you enjoy the song! If you have any questions, hit me on Twitter at @elizavetaka, or leave a comment here.

Apocalypse Can Wait ~Good Omens Song~ feat. CH
Welcome to the end of the world!
Please make yourself comfortable –
And don’t forget: anything is possible
On a Tuesday afternoon…
I have been trying to remember the reasons
Why this ol’ world should not end
but it’s been so hard to imagine a better outcome
God must be joking, cause we’ve all been choking and
wondering about her plans
Are we worth saving at all after centuries of dumb
Hold my hand, don’t let go
Everything will work out in the end
Even when it may seem too late
(It’s not too late)
Don’t despair
Now you know
An angel can become a demon’s friend
Let’s have lunch
Apocalypse can wait
(Apocalypse can wait)
An angel can become a demon’s friend
(Best friend)
I have been trying to remember the reasons
Why this ol’ world should not end
Don’t despair
(Don’t despair)
Now you know
(Now you know)
An angel can become a demon’s friend
(Best friend!)
Let’s have lunch
Apocalypse can wait
(Apocalypse can wait)
And the Lord spake unto the Angel that guarded the eastern gate, saying ‘Where is the flaming sword that was given unto thee?’
And the Angel said, ‘I had it here only a moment ago, I must have put it down some where, forget my own head next.’
It may help to understand human affairs to be clear that most of the great triumphs and tragedies of history are caused, not by people being fundamentally good or fundamentally bad, but by people being fundamentally people.
It used to be thought that the events that changed the world were things like big bombs, maniac politicians, huge earthquakes, or vast population movements, but it has now been realized that this is a very old-fashioned view held by people totally out of touch with modern thought. The things that really change the world, according to Chaos theory, are the tiny things. A butterfly flaps its wings in the Amazonian jungle, and subsequently a storm ravages half of Europe.
And because I love you, everything will be ok – I promise you everything will be ok – it will all work out in the end
…and subsequently a storm ravages half of Europe…
Apocalypse can wait
An angel can become a demon’s friend
Let’s have lunch
Don’t despair:
It’s not too late
Apocalypse can wait.
